The best time for your dry brushing practice is in the morning before showering (dry brushing is recommended in the morning, rather than before bed, because of its energizing qualities).
HOW TO:
Starting at your feet, brush your skin towards your heart with gentle, upwards strokes.
Similarly, when you start on your arms, begin at your hands and work upward. Use gentle, upward strokes, or work in a circulation motion.
For the stomach, work in a counterclockwise pattern.
Dedicate at least 3-5 minutes to Dry Brushing.
Start out slow and build up to more frequent dry brushing. Start with gentle pressure and adjust as needed.
We recommend starting with Dry Brushing 1-2 times a week tuning in to see how your body responds. As you get comfortable, you can increase the frequency to enhance circulation, exfoliation, and detoxification. Listen to your body and let it guide you.
